Roots

Benji Dawnsong grew up in north east England and now lives with his family in west Devon, on the edge of Dartmoor. He has trained in shamanic healing techniques with Second Sight and The Sacred Trust, undertaking many ceremonies with elders including the Marakame of the Wixarika of northern Mexico. Benji’s dance practice is influenced by many teachers and modes, including 5Rhythms, Gaga Dance and Movement Medicine. Benji loves to explore the woods of Dartmoor and the wild Cornish coast, where he swims, fell runs, dances and writes poetry.

Esme grew up in southeast London and then, aged ten, moved to a small village in the heart of Dartmoor. Esme studied Painting before training as a Yoga teacher at Soma Yoga and Medicine School in Bristol, and then as an Art Psychotherapist in Edinburgh. She has explored and offers the practice of Yoga and yoga nidra combined with the healing power of Art. Her intuitive sense of the connection between body, art, and nature, informs her grounded practice, which holds space for people to delve into and nourish their playful, artistic selves.
